The grid of three lines of six thumbnails against a two-tone background is hi-res and easy to navigate, though the interface is rather slow; it takes a second or two from a button press on the remote to something happening on-screen, which is rather irritating. Not all movies have trailers, and all trailers are in SD only.

Rent a film and you have two weeks to start watching lest it self-destruct; once you've pressed play it's yours to toy with for 48 hours. Searching is flawed, though; perform a few searches and it's tricky to get back to the main page — the easiest way is by quitting and reopening Qriocity. Overall, it's a good-looking interface, but it's a notch below its Apple TV rival; the slower, slightly awkward remote especially when compared to Apple TV's iPhone trackpad , slow loading times for page refreshes, and a laborious search function make sure of that.

Of the top10 film rentals on iTunes, Qriocity has five, and only two of the top five Sex and the City 2 and Predators. There's no A-Z list, and some titles appear in more than one category, so it's not possible to give an accurate figure on exactly how many titles there are — but this should give you a flavour of what Qriocity is all about:.

All a bit dated. It has provided years worth of entertainment through my PS4. I wish our comments mattered as I believe this is a poor decision to take it away. Plus movies that are in theaters or on-demand available in the comfort of your home.

Most of my library is on psn. Probably never even a Sony product again. Definitely not a fan of this, I liked renting and purchasing off the store. I better saddle up and get everything I wanted before end of August. Most of my digital purchases were through PSN. I disagree with this decision there are a lot of people who like to watch and rent movies from the store I myself included your making a big mistake and will lose customers.

This makes no sense. PSN movies were generally a great option to movies especially the ones that were just released from cinema where you could get slightly earlier access than any other streaming service. Quite dissapointed really. I would very much love to continue doing it as an option. Bring it back! This really sucks.

As a person on the autism spectrum, I hate going to busy cinemas where people behave like animals, talking, chewing and rustling all the way through the film.

I much prefer to rent movies on Playstation and watch them in the comfort of my home. Gutted It took me a long time to finally stop buying blu rays and dvds and decided stop, time to go digital. Playstation my first dvd player Playstation 3 my first blu ray player and the playstation store which was and still amazing.

I have a few streaming apps but have always found the PSstore the best place to go. Please keep us all informed if you change your minds….. Any chances you guys can put up the archive of all the PlayStation 3 videos we were able to download directly back then? Would love to access and download all those old PS3 videos that are no longer available to the public.

Not anymore, you were able to back during the PS3 but once they launched the ps4 they stopped.
