Why does nintendo hate metroid

Why does Nintendo fucking hate Recent Watched Ignored Search Forum. Why does Nintendo fucking hate Metroid? So here we have a highly successful series from nintendo, definitely one of their highest selling one, we have millions of fans across the globe pleading for a new fucking Metroid game.

But e3 rolls around and what do we get? Diddly squat.. It's been 6 fucking years since the last proper Metroid game and that too didn't live up to its hype and almost a decade since we last saw Samus as the badass bounty hunter that she is and not some whiny emotionally handicapped 11 year old. Finally, back in e3 we heard from the franchise and after all that waiting what is it that we get? Fucking federation force. At this point I'm convinced that Nintendo hates Metroid and wants it to drown.

I've heard a lot of theories; the most popular one being 'Metroid doesn't sell well in Japan'. What about the rest of the world? I'm pretty sure it's a way bigger market that Japan, doesn't it sell well here? Of course it does!! So do you think we'll ever get another Metroid game?

Like ever? Or is Metroid dead at this point because no one seems to be interested, not even Retro.. Maybe they're waiting for VR to come out, then make some epic first-person Metroid game for it? I kind of want a new F-Zero game. Last one was for Gamecube I believe I will buy an NX in the first year if metroid is confirmed. Ball is in your court nintendo. Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

Milennin said: I kind of want a new F-Zero game. Metroid was never highly succesful. Even though it's about as iconic as Mario, Zelda, Pokemon etc it's one of the less worthwhile series for Nintendo. Just look at the sales of Super Metroid or the Prime series JonasTheJay said: Metroid was never highly succesful. Gesu- said: JonasTheJay said: Metroid was never highly succesful.

Oh maybe, maybe it's the clothes we wear The tasteless bracelets and the dye in our hair Or maybe, maybe it's our nowhere towns or our nothing places But we're trash, you and me We're the litter on the breeze We're the lovers on the streets Just trash, me and you It's in everything we do It's in everything we do.

Another thing is I think Nintendo forgets about it's adult fans The the average gamer is in there mid 30's now, many kids have moved to smarphones , it's like they still think they are in the 90's with the Super Nintendo as they still don't have great online None of there stuff has proper voice chat They keep releasing under powered systems and the Wii U only offered up to 32 GB of built in storage with was borderline unless, they always push stupid gimmicks on us and they don't really seem to advertise to hardcore gamers much and since kids would be more likely to play Mario or something they probably don't think they need to put as much effort into stuff like Metriod which would appeal more to hardcore gamers.

I love Nintendo but they make some really stupid decisions, I'm sad that Iwata died but I hope this new president at least gets the company back on track. I think they're just jerks that don't want you to play the games you like. Remember there was an 8 year gap between Super and Fusion, so there's still hope that they may announce one next year or the year after.

Ryfour said: At this point, liking Metroid is just a meme and Im guessing OP hasnt even played a Metroid game in his life. Ryfour said: Im going to reply to your question with another question. Why do you pretend to fucking like Metroid? Everyone knows Nintendos current demographic is aimed at 10 years and younger so so you honestly think 10 year olds even know what Metroid is?

At this point, liking Metroid is just a meme and Im guessing OP hasnt even played a Metroid game in his life. Will you marry me? Watch it be an NX launch title. I feel your pain, especially since MOTHER isn't a "mainstream" Nintendo series, meaning it's not a cash cow constantly pumping out sequels. In you really can't make many informed conclusions on console engagement with just retail figures. The market's already changed. But the mistake is often repeated in these sales threads.

I never played any 2D Metroid games before but Metroid Dread is amazing.

If you play Metroid 2 backwards, Community. And Link is believable in Mario Kart not to mention in a rhythm-based roguelike. But can you picture Samus Aran playing golf? A Metroid breeding and collecting simulator? The latter two games feature simple, cute protagonists who face off against a wide range of colorful and instantly recognizable enemies. I mean, yeah. The Metroids themselves are iconic, but there are only so many floating jellyfish Amiibos you can make.

And listen: Space Pirates are no Moblins. There are no palette-swapped siblings or fairies to help her out. It took until Super Smash Bros. An evil clone made of living sin, but mechanically identical nonetheless. Yes, there are other bounty hunters, Federation troopers, and so on, but that just raises another problem….

Remember the aborted Operation: Alien? It was the 90s and Kenner was making action figures of everything, so why not try and sell kids H.
